EXPOL LEGENS PRO-AM

We are very excited to announce that EXPOL are the major sponsor for this new format of our Pro-Am story. We plan a full field of Legend Pro’s from New Zealand and Australia, and they are just as excited to be playing for the first time on this tour at Waihi Golf Club.
What is a Legends Pro-Am?
It is a one-day format where 3 amateurs partner a professional in a team format while the professional plays their own ball. The amateurs play for team prizes and the pros for a separate prize purse and points towards their ranking on the Australasian Legends tour order of merit. To be eligible for the Legends Tour the professional must be 50 or older.
What is the Format?
The format for this event is an optional fun 9 hole warm up round on Wednesday 31st January at 3pm followed a barbecue and the official draw for each teams Legends Pro. The Legends Pro-Am main event is on Thursday 1st February. It will be a shotgun start at 9.30am followed by lunch and prizegiving.
The teams will be made up of 3 amateurs and a Legends Pro. You are welcome to enter a complete team or enter individually and we will make a team up for you.
The best 3 Stableford scores on each hole for each team of three amateur’s and the professional will be the winners of the inaugural Waihi Legends Pro-Am.
This event will be opened to all eligible golfers on the 1st December
