GOLF CART SHED AND 1st TEE DEVELOPMENT
Currently the club does not have space to store all its leased golf carts.
Enlarging the cart shed would allow additional space for the redevelopment of downstairs areas of the clubhouse for the use of members and its guests.
The size of the shed 9m x 18m should meet the future demands of the club.
The club’s return on golf cart hire has doubled over the last 3 years.
Attached artists impression of what the development will look like.
Budget for the project is $80K, funded by Lion foundation grant $30, the balance from cashflow.
Timing will be down to council acceptance; however the Management committee wishes to proceed ASAP.
The management committee is aware of the growing demand from members for the use of golf carts, however this needs to be balanced against the damage carts do to our course.
Planning is under way for areas of the golf course that are being adversely effected by golf carts, and how we can continue improve the quality of our golf course, at the same time mitigating the effects of additional golf cart traffic.
