Interclub
The popular Wai/Whanga/ Omokoroa interclub tournament was played at Omokoroa on Sunday November 17, each Club well-represented by men and women playing the stableford competition, with a total of 88 players in the field.
The course was in immaculate condition, and conditions were perfect for golf.
Whangamata retained the Ladies’ Shield with an average of 34.2 points,
Waihi retained the Men’s shield again with an average of 36.2,
Omokoroa snatched the Whangamata/Omokoroa trophy from Whangamata.
The Triangular trophy between all Clubs was won by Omokoroa 1.2 points ahead of Whangamata, and 1.8 points ahead of Waihi. Well done Omokoroa.
Kevin Smith from Omokoroa had the best mens’ stableford score with 43 points,
Dawn Burgess from Whangamata had the best ladies score —42 points.
